Tasmin sati svasa prasvasayoh gativicchedah pranayamah: When
the postures are mastered, then pranayama is to be practiced as the regulation
of the incoming and outgoing flow of the breath. In this module, we focus on the integration of breath and movement in asana, and on the breath as the link between the inner and outer worlds in pranayama and meditation. Retentions are introduced in pranayama. A regular practice of pranayama, chanting and meditation is established, with longer mantras being introduced. In philosophy, the eight limbs of yoga are explored in greater depth, and the role of Ishvara, or "higher power" in personal practice is considered.
Mantra of the month: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
